Bought these back in 2016 and they were my first pair of 85s. Over the past 4 years Ive spent countless hours restoring these to their current condition. Right wings logo has been excellently repainted by hand. The collars are 100% original with no black paint used. Other parts of the shoes have been spot repainted over the years with period correct colors and fading. The goal was never to make them look new when restoring them as it would ruin the great vintage feel. I filled it about 3 years ago and it blends in quite well. Restitched a small partition of the upper above the swoosh. Some midsole/sole sep but all the stitching is good. As for wearability they are 100% wearable at least for someone of my size.

Ive honestly worn these well over 100 times with no problems. Ankle padding is a mixture of soft and crumbled with decent comfort.

Its mostly the bottom part of the padding thats crumbly. Original insoles are included as well as the original white laces. Because of the heel taps on the bottom I must recommend you replace the original insoles with a thicker insole.

I do that and they become very comfortable. I can easily go all day in these. Obviously not a pristine pair by any means, but theyre not brittle.

A pair of 1985s was my grail, and Ive spent a lot of time working on these but Ive lost weight and theyre just too large now. Size 13 is a rare size for these. I dont really mind keeping them for their sentimental value and because of that my price is pretty much firm.
